The City of Cincinnati’s Neighborhood Enhancement Program(NEP) has officially begun in Avondale. NEP is typically a 90-day collaborative effort between the City departments, neighborhood residents, and community organizations that focuses on developing community assets.
Because the area in Avondale that NEP is targeting is so large, NEP will run for 8 months from March 1st to October 31st. Some of the goals of NEP are to concentrate building code enforcement, identify and “cool down” crime hot spots, clean up and beautify public spaces, and activate community engagement.
